Bobby Bui (he/him) is a New York and Massachusetts State Licensed Psychologist who provides individual and group clinical supervision. In addition to his supervision practice, he is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Prior to joining Mount Sinai, he held faculty appointments at Boston University Wheelock College of Education & Human Development, where he served as Director of the Master’s Program in Counseling, as well as at Northeastern University, the State University of New York at New Paltz, and Brooklyn College of the City University of New York.

Bobby’s scholarly and clinical interests include expanding access to high-quality, affordable psychotherapy for individuals and communities affected by persistent poverty and social inequities; advancing trauma education within graduate training programs; and strengthening the supervision and professional development of counselors in training. He currently serves as Co-Chair of the Education and Training Committee for Division 56 (Trauma Psychology) of the American Psychological Association.

With more than 25 years of experience as a psychologist, educator, and clinical supervisor, Dr. Bui has worked across a broad range of academic, healthcare, and community settings. His professional experience includes appointments in psychiatric hospitals, outpatient behavioral health clinics, accessibility centers, public and independent schools, and state correctional facilities.

Bobby earned his doctorate from the APA-accredited Program in School and Child Psychology at New York University. He completed postgraduate training in psychotherapy at the Washington Square Institute for Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy and is also a graduate of the IOP Psychodynamic Psychotherapy Training Certificate Program at the Erikson Institute of the Austen Riggs Center.
