Claudia Gahagan, LCSW, SEP, KAP, Senior Clinician
Claudia (she/her) is a trauma-informed psychotherapist specializing in somatic trauma therapy and Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) for adults seeking deep, lasting change. She works with individuals navigating trauma, PTSD, depression, anxiety, chronic illness, grief, and life transitions—especially those who feel stuck despite prior therapy or medication.
Somatic Trauma Therapy
As a Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner (SEP), Claudia helps clients resolve the physiological imprint of trauma through nervous system regulation, body awareness, and the completion of survival responses. This approach supports relief from chronic activation, shutdown, dissociation, and relational patterns rooted in trauma.
Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy
Claudia specializes in ketamine-assisted psychotherapy informed by somatic trauma resolution. Trained in KAP with Philip E. Wolfson, M.D.and the Ketamine Treatment Center, she provides preparation, medicine sessions, and integration. Her somatic training allows clients to navigate expanded states safely, access deeper emotional material, and translate insights into lasting change.
Her clinical work is identity-affirming, anti-oppressive, and neurodiversity-informed. She integrates Somatic Experiencing®, mindfulness, cognitive-behavioral therapy, compassion-focused therapy, and motivational interviewing to support emotional regulation, self-understanding, and self-acceptance.
Claudia holds a BA in Psychology from California State University, Chico and an MSW from Fordham University, with extensive experience in trauma, crisis work, and community mental health.
Before becoming a therapist, Claudia worked in nonprofit leadership, including as Associate Director of Events and Conference Services at the American Museum of Natural History. Working in high-pressure, people-centered environments informs her attunement to stress, resilience, and the nervous system patterns many clients seek to heal.
