Kaitlyn Flanagan, LMSW

Kaitlyn Flanagan (she/her) is a LMSW who holds a Master of Social Work from Fordham University. Her clinical approach is warm, authentic, and grounding, offering both practical day-to-day support in shifting patterns alongside an ongoing existential curiosity about each client’s journey through the cosmos. As a collaborator in the healing process, Kaitlyn seeks to honor client autonomy and create a space for growth and exploration of the self that is free from judgment, meeting clients’ lived experience with curiosity, humility, and an intersectional lens.

Kaitlyn has experience providing mental health support in private, public, and therapeutic school settings (K-12) in addition to working in community mental health as part of her clinical training. She integrates the following approaches and modalities: strengths-based, trauma-informed; psychodynamic, relational, and attachment-based; CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing; Internal Family Systems; and EMDR. She supports clients navigating life transitions, burnout, grief, LGBTQIA+ identity exploration, meaning making through creative expression, and digital wellness/smartphone addiction. She is energized by the way that therapy draws from both the arts and the sciences, blending evidence-based approaches with her sense of humor and conviction that each person has within them the strength and tools to heal. Outside of her work in the mental health field, Kaitlyn can be found reading nerdy books, fumbling with her flip phone, and playing bass in her rock band.
