Sherry F. Adams, LMHC, Senior Advisor of Business Strategy
Sherry F. Adams (she/her) is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who received her MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northwestern University.
She provides a secure and inclusive environment for adults to explore who they have been, who they are, and who they want to be.
She works with her clients’ intersecting abilities, socioeconomic, racial, ethnic, spiritual and cultural backgrounds to facilitate growth, direction, and purpose.
Sherry is passionate about the connection between mind and body in neuro-counseling. She is currently at an advanced level in Somatic Experiencing®, a body-based approach to healing trauma by restoring balance to the nervous system.
Prior to her work in mental health, Sherry spent 15 years in the corporate sector, her transition into psychotherapy has been written about in Oprah Daily. Today, she consciously engages her business acumen to support Maverick Psychotherapy’s sustainable growth initiatives as the Senior Advisor of Business Strategy.
In both her advisory and therapeutic work, Sherry often incorporates her roots in art, and credits her experience at UNC Greensboro, where she earned a BFA in Painting in 2004. Sherry believes creativity is key to promoting diversity of thought.
